2000 World Rafting Championship 1 March 2000
South Africa's kayaker, Steve Fisher, pulled off a fantastic win in the third event of the Camel Whitewater Challenge today -- the kayak downriver race.

Fisher confidently crossed the finishing line a few metres ahead of his closest competitor in the race, US representative, Corey Neilsen. Russia's Alexandre Chigidzin and Italy's Hager Waldner finished in third and fourth position. Slovenia's Alexei Botchyo came in fifth.
